Transcripts

Cornerstone records information about the operations performed in a transcript. This is useful in a number of ways:

• Transcript entries are output in real-time, providing information on the progress of long operations.
• Entries output during operations such as updates provide detailed information on the work performed and the resultant revision.
• Error information is recorded in the transcript and can be revisited at a later time.
• A user can add their own notes to a transcript to annotate the output with information such as the motivation for performing an operation.

Transcripts are recorded separately for each source (i.e. working copy or repository) in the source list.
